The Challenge
With a lack of rental solutions in place, Carter Accommodation was looking for ways to increase its efficiency and make life easier across its entire business, managing its portable accommodation units as well as its portable toilets.
The Solution
Carter Accommodation has identified several areas of its business that would benefit from MCS-rm modules to increase efficiency and time savings. It is gradually rolling out more of the MCS solution within these business areas to get the most out of its system.
Centralised data management
Historically, we had a massive reliance on spreadsheets which often meant that people had different versions of the same document, many of which would then be out of date. Now, with one single data source in MCS-rm, we can always trust that our information is correct and deliver a far more consistent service.
MCS Customer Service
We are very impressed with the Customer Service team at MCS. The responses we get from their customer service team are impressive. Whenever we raise incidents or ask MCS a question, 95% of the time, we get an answer direct from them or else they will escalate it to the correct department on our behalf. We’re really pleased with the service.
RM Web
RM Web gives us a fast, easy, user-friendly way to see our data whilst not in the office. Any changes can be seen straight away, and it replaces the need for many of our previous spreadsheets.
Workshop
The MCS Workshop module is an invaluable part of the system for us. Previously, the management of our toilet servicing used to be a haphazard, error-prone process. With MCS in place, we have a structured approach to oversee all our maintenance activity, so it all works smoothly. We now have better visibility.
Transport Mobile
MCS Transport Mobile has given us much better visibility of our workers in the field and has made the entire process seamless. We can now send out deliveries, collections, and services needed that day to our drivers using the Transport Mobile app. Waste transfer notes are also instantly available to view in real-time in MCS-rm, along with any damage photos, and there is clear visibility of what jobs have been completed.
It also means that we always get the required documentation back from my drivers. This also automatically triggers jobs in the workshop for returned equipment.
Resource Planner
The MCS Resource Planner has replaced our previous stand-alone system for managing our resources. It gives us greater visibility of our resources which enables us to plan future utilisation better. We love how innovative MCS’ Resource Planner is. They are constantly developing it, helping to increase the powerfulness of the solution.
Workshop Mobile
Since introducing Workshop Mobile into the business, we have been able to eliminate paper altogether. We save hours each day as previously, all paperwork had to be scanned into our computers, which is now unnecessary. We have also seen substantial time-saving because the staff no longer need to come into the office to pick up any paperwork as they can access it all in MCS-rm. When a job has been finished, we love that we can see this instantly due to tickets being updated digitally.
MCS E-Sign
We can now send and receive all our contracts digitally, and there is no need to print and scan contracts. This has put an end to all verbal agreements and disputes related to them. We have seen significant time savings thanks to MCS E-Sign.
