Our headquarters are based in Maidenhead, UK. We have offices/partners in the Middle East, South Africa, Benelux, France, Australia, Sweden and Germany.

Customer Service / IT Apprentice

MCS is offering a superb opportunity for an Apprentice to join their thriving software company.

Our company

MCS is a friendly IT software company with approximately 50 employees. We create, sell, implement and support our rental software solutions to companies that hire equipment and service events.

MCS have offices worldwide and sell direct from multiple locations in Europe with re-seller partners in South Africa and Australia.

With a history of developing apprentices and moving them forward with training and support we are now looking to take on a new team member.

The role:

As the Customer Service / IT Apprentice, you will be joining a highly experienced team that provides the first point of contact for customers of MCS, therefore a good and confident telephone manner is essential. The team handles a wide range of queries logged by the MCS customers relating to the MCS Software, so an understanding and passion of IT is essential. Our end users are worldwide so it would be an advantage to have a second language such as French, German or Swedish but this is not essential. If you are passionate about helping people, providing customer satisfaction and also enjoy solving logical IT and database related queries then this is a superb opportunity to start your career with us!

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 38.75 Hours per week (4 days in the office /1 day college)


  • Excellent written and spoken English with a flair for building rapport
  • Computer literate with good analytical skills and knowledge of all Microsoft packages
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player – great communication skills
  • Passionate about providing the best possible support to customers
  • A positive can-do attitude with a willingness to go that extra step when required
  • The office is based about 3 miles from Maidenhead so you will some transport (Car/Bike)

Training offered:

  • Training will be done as a combination of on the job work experience and 1 day at college a week.


  • Salary: Above Apprenticeship minimum wage
  • 22+ days holiday
