Rental software provider, MCS, has launched its new mobile app, ‘Resource Mobile’, which is now available on iOS and Android.
The MCS Resource Mobile app gives engineers and drivers out on the road the ability to complete their tasks all via a mobile app, giving instant feedback to rental controllers in the back office. The new app has been revamped giving MCS users better traceability of where resources are during the day. Rental controllers now not only know when a job has been started, but can also keep track of job progress including when their resources are actively driving, or when they have arrived on site. Nick Thomson, MCS Sales Director, explains,
“The new Resource Mobile app has instant benefits, just from the fact that it is now available on both iOS and Android devices, but the huge benefit comes from the additional visibility of resources on the road. When it comes to ad-hoc planning, having more in-depth visibility of the status of jobs is a game changer.”
The new app also includes a number of extra features helping to smooth the rental process including customized checklists and the ability to send SMS Text Message alerts to customers to let them know when a driver or engineer is on their way. Nick continues,
