Anyone who knows Adam, knows he has a real passion for mountain biking, he even went to the Alps for 3 days where he threw himself down mountains purely for the fun. Adam can also do more than just talk the talk, we found out that he once walked the walk for GAP as a catwalk model.

Alex Francis

Technical Support Consultant

If it involves power tools, cars, or exploring, Alex is all over it. Outside of work, you’ll find him offroading or building cool things out of wood or metal, he really is the epitome of a handyman! He also once drove around Malta and found an abandoned apartment complex – spooky.

Anders Karlsson

Nordic Project Consultant

Anders started his career in Belfast, working as a Payment Support Advisor for PayPal and King, the creators of Candy Crush. His role was unique; and required them to spend a few hours each week playing Candy Crush to assist customers stuck in the game. Anders most thrilling adventure to date is the 3 Peaks Challenge in the UK, which they undertook with colleagues in 2023. The challenge was physically demanding and made even more challenging by the winding roads of Scotland, Wales, and the Lake District. Anders’ catchphrase is “You don’t know what you don’t know.” Stay open-minded that there is always more to learn.

Andy Lamacraft

Where to even begin, we’d describe Andy as our in house Doctor Doolittle! Seated comfortably? Andy shares his home with *drumroll please*…3 dogs, 4 cats, 1 Chinchilla, 7 Cockatiels and ‘approx’ 15 budgies. Andy bred pedigree cats for over 10 years and currently supports his wife in her breeding of Budgies and Cockatiels. Andy is always up for a chinwag, get him talking about pets and you’ll be chatting for hours.

Ania Skwarczynska

Finance Assistant

Ania is very calm and caring which we value so much especially in a busy work environment. The lead up to Ania getting on the roads however did test her calmness with buckets of tears and sleepless nights… but 5th time lucky. Well done Ania, it was all worth it in the end.

One time, Annette went camping in the Yosemite National Park, and in the middle of the night met a black bear. She ran back to her tent in the hope it would protect her, and given she’s sat at her desk at the moment, it clearly worked a treat! These days, Annette enjoys a more relaxed walk in the park with her dog.

Antje is everyone’s best friend when she brings her cakes into the office! Antje is a bit of a dare devil too. She has jumped out a moving train in India and loves cliff jumping. Although, she does have her softer side and in her spare time helps out in a local hospice.

Aruna enjoys watching sports, particularly cricket. She is also interested in mystery and thriller movies or TV series. Aruna likes to travel the world too, but snakes and the darkness she wants to avoid.

Béatrice is the life and soul of the party, she loves a good boogie! When she’s not dancing and entertaining the MCS team, she enjoys eating out, meeting friends and travelling. One time she got stuck in a 4×4 in the sand on a beach in Cameroon and the locals rescued her whilst chanting.

Software Developer

Ben spent weeks travelling around Florida, being lucky enough to visit Disney World and Universal Studios. But it’s safe to say he was happy to be home as his biggest phobia are spiders. Ben loves learning new things and thrives off a challenge.

Björn is a bit of a dark horse of the MCS family, did you know he used to be a DJ in Stockholm at all the trendy clubs? These days he’s busy implementing our new customers onto MCS-rm but in his free time loves to travel, drink red wine and tuck into some good marmalade.

Brian, like most men, loves Top Gear. You’ll often overhear talk of helicopters, fast cars, jet skis and anything else that’s a bit James Bond, so if you want to get him talking, try any of the above or ask about his grandchildren who he’s also mad about.

Bruce is a passionate boxer (don’t get on the wrong side of him). Bruce claims his most exciting adventure was on a Greek island where his car broke down and he was forced to stay almost 2 months until the car was fixed.

Carlos Castany

General Director – LATAM

One of Carlos’s most thrilling adventures took place during a two-week training stint in Chile. What started as a regular business trip turned into an unexpected adventure when a local music festival left him without lodging or transport. Carlos walked nearly 10 km to the next town, where he found shelter in a hostel. There, he met a local who not only showed him around Valparaiso but also managed to get him tickets to the festival. While the experience was initially daunting, it ended up being a memorable adventure.

Chloe David

French Customer Service Consultant

Chloe enjoys travelling and finding new places, in fact, her first job was picking grapes which she says was a great experience but also a touch terrifying with all the spiders and creepy-crawlies. We feel your pain Chloe! When she’s not working, you can find her exploring the countryside or playing with fourlegged friends.

If you know Chris, you’ll know he’s a big firework fan. We wonder if that means his personal anthem is one from Katy Perry? Aside from creating stunning firework displays for events, Chris also runs Lumatech Systems which writes firing system software to design fire shows all over the world! Who else fancies a trip to a fire show, because we definitely do.

Chris-André has been lucky enough to see the world coming from an air host background. Originally from Norway, Chris-André has lived in 5 different countries! He has even backpacked across India from the desert to the Himalayas. His passion for language and culture continues to grow.

The cool bean of the office, Christian is one of the only people with an Italian name, a Geordie accent, and is half French. He also has an infectious laugh, you’ll often hear him chuckling away with Nick, we just hope it’s not at our expense.

Clare enjoys walking her dog, meeting with friends and a spot of crafting when time allows. She has recently started open swimming and hopes to add this to her regular activities. Clare loves to travel, especially in Europe where she’ll always have a go at speaking the local language.

Colin loves to play the guitar and sing at local open mics. One of his most memorable trips was to Borneo to see the Orangutans, well who wouldn’t remember that? Daryl loves to learn new languages outside of work, such as French and Korean. He is also into sports including swimming, running and badminton! His sports also give him the perfect time to enjoy his music. Does he ever stop?

Edouard is practically famous! In China, he worked as a brand ambassador for a kitchen company, where his picture was displayed across multiple cities. Edouard describes it as a strange feeling seeing your face posted everywhere… He is also a big sports fan, from rugby to football.

Edward made us all jealous when he told us about his Cruise around the Mediterranean for his 18th birthday. He loves watching action series in his spare time and learning to play the piano. You also won’t miss Edward around the office being 6 feet tall.

Ellie switched her night shifts to join the Finance and Admin team. Ellie enjoys watching her favourite shows on Disney Plus in her evenings, and when she’s not upping her belt at Taekwondo, she also loves listening to music.

Franck spends his spare doing a lot of reading, whether that is reading books, newspapers or restaurant menus! He also enjoys going to the cinema and watching movies as a treat. Franck’s most exciting (legal) experience was leaving France for Canada with a visa but without any out plan! He spent an amazing 5 years in Canada.

At 21, Gavin was doing a racing scholarship to become a professional racing driver and of the 1200 people that entered, he got to the final 12 – GO GAVIN. Who else wants a ride in Gavin’s car, because we definitely do. His friends describe him as cheeky, we describe him as smashing.

Graham has completed a two-week road trip around the USA. Taking in New York, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Blue Ridge Mountains, and finding out where Dollywood is! Graham has a phobia of Wasps because he’s had too many bad encounters as they seem to hover around him and stop him his enjoying his pint in the summer.

Guillaume tells us he’s a very talented chap and we’ve got to agree. Outside of work, Guillaume produces orchestral music for cinema and has even won an award from the Royal Television Society. Impressive! Mysteriously, when we asked him if he’s had any exciting jobs before MCS, he just said yes… Was it MI5? Was he a PA to Beyonce? We’ll never know.

Guy Haskell

Technical Architect

Now this is an interesting one. Guy is our in house technical architect and is very much a man in demand…so much so that we simply have no choice but to keep his identity a secret. Guy loves fast cars and also used to have a Lotus Esprit v8 (sounds like The Stig doesn’t he… maybe he is…maybe he isn’t). When he’s not being a complete mystery, he also enjoys playing in an orchestra. A man of many talents we think.

Guy is quite the explorer with lots of tales from his 6 months travelling in South America where he climbed volcanoes and even worked on an eco-farm. He also loves a game of 5-a-side footy twice a week but sometimes complains about the post-match aches. Age happens to us all.

A keen explorer, Helen has travelled around America starting in Las Vegas, then to San Francisco and finishing in LA, we are SO envious! When Helen isn’t living the dream travelling to amazing destinations, she loves shopping, going to the gym and spending time with her friends and family.

Henry Barnard

Prior to joining MCS Henry worked as a professional diver and in one of his exploits during this time was to stop a large oil tanker from sinking in the Persian Sea. To do this he needed to jump into the sea amongst his biggest phobia, hundreds of poisonous sea snakes that had gathered for their annual breeding season. Quite terrifying we imagine, but looks like all was fine as Henry’s sat in the office with us now.

Hill Hobbs

Implementation and Support Coordinator

Hill’s catchphrase involves three important words- Hydrate! Caffeinate! Celebrate! Hill was a Director of Catering at Chick-Fil-A and would be described as bubbly, determined and funny. In Hill’s spare time she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes and cooking techniques, and running long distances. Although, let’s hope she has learned a few things since Culinary school. She had to panfry scallops for the final, where she misread the instructions on the cook time. So she presented the head chef with scallops that were cooked for 20-30 minutes instead of 2-3 minutes.

Hugh Garske

Senior Software Developer

Hugh certainly has some exciting stories to tell. From helping carry a fellow student who had fractured his leg several miles on a school camping trip to being held up in a bank, for which he used to work. Just a week before this, he had accidentally triggered the alarm, which the police responded to, so he’d already had a dress rehearsal!

When not at work, you can find Hugh playing the guitar, jogging or playing board games, just not at any height as that’s his biggest phobia.

Isabelle Wouters

Benelux Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Isabelle is our Sales & Marketing Coordinator for the Benelux region. Before MCS, Isabelle completed an exciting and unique internship at a Dutch royalty news platform. When not working, Isabelle loves to explore the outdoors, by regularly riding boats along the river on sunny weekends, dining at new restaurants, and visiting museums.

Jason Howell

Project Consultant

Jason’s most thrilling adventure was a global journey with his wife, starting with a year in New Zealand. During their travels, Jason specialised in wildlife photography before shifting his focus to his passion for architecture. Their journey took them to various parts of the world, allowing them to capture stunning images and experience diverse cultures, local cuisines, and traditions. When he’s not at work, Jason enjoys fly fishing and hiking. Friends and colleagues describe Jason as friendly and outgoing, always willing to go the extra mile to help others.

Jennifer Davis

Sales and Marketing Administrator

Jennifer’s catchphrase is, anything worth doing is worth doing well. Jennifer can work under pressure for sure, managing a doctor’s office for 7 emergency room physicians…she said everyday was an adventure and she learned so much. As for home life, Jennifer doesn’t have much time to herself as she homeschools her three children. Not that she would ever complain, as she describes it as extremely rewarding. Jennifer loves to read and be outside. Give her a good book, a hot cup of coffee, and a chair outside and she’s in her happy place.

Jordan Crane

Brand Manager

Jordan is our helpful and creative branding nerd. Before working in Marketing, Jordan started his journey making and selling ‘groovy smoothies’ with a travelling stand at several of the UK’s biggest music festivals. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling with loved ones, having spent a lot of time in the Falkland Islands, Kenya, Brazil, and Cyprus.

Josh Lewis

President, MCS US

Josh once interned at a minor league baseball team where his office was a baseball field; the perfect place for someone who hates tight spaces. His biggest adventure was spending 5 days supporting his wife as a photographer’s assistant in Paris where neither of them spoke French. He enjoys working in his yard and teaching at church but his hobbies mainly revolve around his 6 children. Josh can often be heard saying “Tally Ho” which means it’s time to go and he’s not prepared to wait.

Julia Edwards

Project Coordinator

Julia is known for her positive and fun ambiance. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit, gardening and spending time with family and friends. A fascinating fact about Julia is that she trained in Swedish banks in the 1980s, which led to her being interviewed by Interpol after President Palme was assassinated.

Julie Shah

HR Manager

Julie is our lovely HR Manager, who has worked in a variety of sectors from health to policing to education. When not at work, Julie loves spending time with her family, including her grandchildren. She does have a wild side, having recently travelled across London in a helicopter to capture the sights from above. Not only this…Julie has done a walking safari in South Africa, getting up close to the wildlife (luckily, she had armed guides as protection).

Justin is MCS through and through. His first job was at MCS as an apprentice in the development team. Not only does he write software as part of his job, but he loves it and does it in his free time, too. We have such admiration for your dedication to computers, Justin.

Kelly Ivens

Kelly has joined the MCS team as a Support Consultant for our Dutch customers. Before MCS, Kelly’s very first job was at the Royal Planetarium in Belgium, teaching children about astronomy. Kelly has a love for travelling, having visited the US around 20 times, and going to electronic dance music festivals.

Kerstin Haub

Project Consultant

Kerstin is our friendly and helpful German Customer Support and Project Consultant. Before joining MCS, she worked for a software company that developed entertainment systems for car manufacturers such as Audi and Porsche. When she was younger, Kerstin explored the lands of Kenya and Tanzania and now enjoys energetic weekends with her family, on long bike rides and early Saturday morning runs.

Latifa Foundi

Quality Assurance Manager

Latifa is our diligent Quality Assurance Manager. Her journey to ensuring quality at our company includes an exhilarating encounter in the vibrant medina of Marrakesh. She once found herself being chased by a snake-wielding stranger, and her quick thinking involved running, yelling, and tossing her money to distract them, only to discover that it was a plastic snake. Outside of work, Latifa enjoys dancing, delving into the world of books, and whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen.

Linda Jebri

Customer Service Consultant

Linda loves to play sports and cook in her spare time. She loves experimenting with different countries’ cuisines and preparing famous dishes. She is extremely approachable and always has a smile on her face.

One of Lindsay’s most exciting adventures took place at the 2013 SEC Championship in Atlanta, Georgia, where she competed in the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway Challenge. Winning $20,000 during halftime was an unforgettable experience and a testament to her competitive spirit. Outside of work, Lindsay is creative at heart. On weekends, she often redesigns her home, paints florals and landscapes, or creates mood boards for inspiration.

Luke White

Technical Consultant

Luke has been Coral Reef snorkelling in Koh Lipe, Thailand, where he was almost attacked by a water snake! It came within a couple of feet of him, but luckily didn’t come any further. Although Luke also trains and competes in Muay Thai, he would have been in trouble anyway.

Finance & Administration Assistant

Lyn is our positive and enthusiastic Finance and Administration Assistant. Before joining MCS, she worked at the music school at Eton College. Outside of work, Lyn watches Disney films, goes to concerts, and supports her daughter while she trains and competes in athletics. Her most exciting adventure was a trip across Canada and then New York with her husband; however, she hopes to go on more exciting adventures soon.

With Madalin’s previous career path beginning in the Hospitality sector, his passion for IT and tech geared his change towards the industry. Madalin’s personal interests also include, but are not limited to, mountain cycling, competitive e-sports, and travelling.

Maddie joined the MCS marketing team after previously coordinating events. She loves the outdoors, especially when the sun is shining. She’s very active and regularly competes in running events.

Malin Finlay-Söderberg

Account Manager

When Malin was a teenager, she worked in a military kitchen serving hundreds of male recruits while she dreamed of backpacking in the summer. She later lived her dream and went interrailing, it was amazing, apart from when she got robbed in Portugal. Despite getting robbed, Malin still says it was easier than raising her boys.

Mandy Martinez

Finance & Admin Manager

Mandy has done lots of amazing things, from taking a 10-week sabbatical in Australia, swimming with Manatees, to running her own Pub for 6 years; she really is a woman of many talents. Outside of work, Mandy loves spending time with her grandchildren as well as baking, drinking, and socialising.

Scandinavian Sales & Marketing Coordinator

When Marie isn’t working, she loves golf, Zumba, and yoga—in fact, when she was younger, she taught street dance in the evenings and weekends. Maybe we ought to start an MCS street dance group with all the team here—that we’d LOVE to see. Marie loves all things Swedish, and we have to agree, especially when she brings us some Kanelbullar—YUM.

Mark is very passionate about vehicle restoration, and once road-tripped around Northern Ireland in a classic car convoy. Before joining MCS as an Account Manager, Mark worked as a salesman in the building merchant and rental sector. Mark’s colleagues have already noticed his loyal and easy-going manner.

Mathieu Pavard

Project Consultant

Mathieu used to be based in the UK office (we miss him lots), where he would be at the centre of all our social events. Now, he is based in our France offices, but he does occasionally come back to visit—conveniently around Christmas party time.

Mathilde Savelli

Sales & Marketing Coordinator – France

You might find Mathilde skiing down the slopes of the French Alps, a passion she developed during her childhood. Her love for the mountains also fuels her enthusiasm for mountaineering. Mathilde’s adventurous spirit led her to some remarkable experiences. After completing her Master’s degree, she spontaneously booked a flight to Cairo, Egypt, and spent nearly a month touring the country. Before joining MCS, she worked with smart home products and 3D/CAD hardware equipment, making her an invaluable asset to our sales and marketing efforts.

Matt Buckley

Product Owner

Matt’s first office job was for a basketball team. In tech, he has worked on a recruitment portal, an online estate agency, and a video interview provider that provides soft skill training for students. Matt’s adventurous spirit takes him to new heights—literally. He has taken flying lessons in small planes and helicopters, though he finds helicopters particularly terrifying. Despite his fear of heights, he embraces the challenge and excitement of these aerial adventures. He is also the proud owner of two chihuahuas and two pet snakes, who keep him busy.

We are starting to realise that maybe we’re missing a trick. Maxine is another member of our team who has been scuba diving with sharks. We could have sworn that sharks were meant to be avoided at all costs. When she’s not keeping us company in the office, Maxine loves horses, scuba diving, and looking after her daughter.

If anyone’s life is like a sitcom…it’s Megan’s. Getting herself in the most unbelievable of situations is her forté, but at least it makes for a good story and we can all laugh about it afterwards.

One of the chirpiest people in the office, Michelle always puts a smile on your face. She can often be heard laughing with someone whilst making a cup of tea, and we love it. Michelle is also a big fan of Netflix and cannot wait for the latest series. We’re with you there Michelle.

Mike Andrews

QA Assurance Consultant

Mike can always be relied on for a great conversation. From working supporting software for the BBC to driving to Gambia in a £400 car on the Plymouth Banjul Challenge in 2006, he has lots of stories. A fan of the great outdoors, Mike also went backpacking coast to coast through Scotland in 2017.

Miriam van der Knaap

Developer

Miri has spent most of her career doing development and project management, but she was a member of the youth circus when she was a child, which we think sounds like great fun. Miri also once fell into a river with Piranhas, but luckily for us, she made it out in one piece—phew.

Monique Schutte

Project Consultant

Monique is quite the adventurer. She once moved to Cape Town even though she’d never visited before. Lucky for us, she has now moved to the UK, and we love having her here. Outside of the office, Monique enjoys reading, crocheting, and baking. I think we need to try some more of this baking, Monique.

Morane Trabelsi

We think Morane is a bit of a thrill-seeker after he went swimming with sharks in Thailand, but despite his fearless diving in the sea, he’s still got a phobia of spiders. Morane can also be relied on to wow everyone with his dancing, he’s got some utterly cracking moves.

Sales Director

Nick has a real claim to fame. Get ready: He pretty much went on holiday with George Bush Sr. We say ‘pretty much’ because he didn’t actually go as his pal, but they were staying in the same hotel. Aside from partying with the stars, Nick enjoys being the joker of the office and spending time with his family.

Patrick Tunnicliffe

Senior Business Consultant

Funny guy Patrick leads an active life outside work, enjoying mountain biking, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, and wing foiling. We don’t know what that is either. In the days before mobile phones were prevalent, he visited Chile and Argentina and immersed himself in their culture. Patrick’s claim to fame was being a World Cup Snowboardcross racer in Canada. Life at MCS must seem quite subdued in comparison.

Paul Nilsson

Support Consultant

Paul has had his fair share of adventures, once parachuting so far away from the airfield, he had to hitchhike his way back. Before joining MCS, Paul had an extensive career in the games and film industry as a character artist. Outside of work, you can find Paul mountain biking, relaxing with a bit of gardening, or spending time with his family and friends.

PohSiew Tan

Customer Service Consultant

Every Sunday during term time, Pohsiew teaches Mandarin at a Chinese school—we’re tempted to go along and learn some too. Apart from being passionate about helping our customers with their software issues (of course), Pohsiew also loves satay and lots of Singapore food—yummy.

Rachel Blunden

Senior Developer

MCS was Rachel’s first proper job, apart from working at a green grocer’s when she was a teenager, so if you want to chat to a true MCS’er, Rachel is your girl. Outside of the office, Rachel knits and spins her own yarn on a spinning wheel, which we think is pretty cool.

Rameez Din

Project Consultant

Rameez once hired a tricycle in the Philippines and got totally lost. Don’t worry; he slowly found his way back using all methods of public transport.

Richard Roessler

Benelux & UK Sales Consultant

With his tendency to visit clients and drum up business or be off gallivanting around the world rather than in the office, Richard is often mistaken as the newbie in the office—sorry, Richard, we know who you are really. The life of the party, Richard also loves providing us with entertainment, from cracking jokes to throwing some shapes to 60s music.

Richard van der Knaap

Richard was asked to develop a piece of rental software for a hire company just four years after becoming a self-employed computer programmer. News spread quickly of this software to other local hire companies, and the demand grew, so MCS Rental Software (formerly Minicomputer Commercial Software) was born. Richard has always been big on his sports, from rugby to cricket, to squash, and now golf. When not working, watching sport or playing golf, Richard loves to spend time with his 6 grandchildren. We don’t know how he has the energy to do it all or fit it all in.

Ryan McCarroll

Project Administrator

Ryan has had an incredibly diverse career path. Before joining MCS, he served as a Police Officer for a decade, bringing a disciplined and strategic mindset to our team. Adding to his uniqueness, Ryan also spent time as a Field Guide in South Africa. One of Ryan’s most thrilling adventures was a week-long safari with his wife, guided by an old friend. Traversing the wilderness mostly on foot, they encountered magnificent creatures like elephants and buffalo up close. One memorable night, Ryan spent reassuring his wife about the distant Hyena calls, only to find their footprints right next to their tent the following morning. Talk about living on the wild side.

Sabrina Kantaoui

Project Consultant

Sabrina’s first job was in a local bakery, which influenced her love for baking today. On top of balancing mother duties, she loves trying out new recipes and sharing them with her family and friends (they are amazing). Sabrina has also spent a night in a cave in the Taman Negara jungle in Malaysia, brave, we know.

Susan Augustine

QA Consultant

As a QA Consultant, Susan’s colleagues describe her as an open book. Before joining MCS, Susan had an interesting career in teaching. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, dancing, and cooking—and yes, the team is looking forward to tasting some of Susan’s tasty food.

Will, a Sales Executive at MCS, works alongside our international sales teams. Prior to joining the team, Will had an existing career in sales and kept busy by starting a dog-training business. Outside of work, Will plays American Football for Buckinghamshire and has a passion for surfing and snowboarding. He also has a musical side and enjoys playing the drums.
